i've tried to make it a point to give my kids handmade things as gifts.
either made by me or other artists.
i want them to grow up with an appreciation of art and handmade things.
so this was the little birthday story box i made her.
she wants to own a bakery someday hence the chef hat.
would she have preferred a itunes gift card or $$?
probably.
LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! I'm sure she LOVES it too!!

That's so great! I love that box. (And relate to hand made values and parenting).
The candy table is just gorgeous!!!!!!!! Must have been excellent fun.

Are you kidding? Anyone can get iTunes or $s, only a very few lucky ones can get an authentic Michelle Allan-piece!!!

It is absolutely magical, and I bet it will be displayed on the shelf of a successful bakery someday. What a fantastic story she will have to tell her customers when they inquire about it. A waaaaay better story that one would have with an itunes gift card! ;)

iTunes card. . .pshawwww. That would be spent and gone in no time. She will have this memory of her special 16th birthday forever. It will always remind her of her wonderful mother! It is so sweet.
