Today was a beautiful day!
Went for a 12 mile run with Stacey.
Later met up with my friend April for some blueberry pickin'. This was a first for April and myself. In almost 2 hours I had picked 15.5 lbs for a total of $19.37. A deal AND some good visiting time.
Now to decide what to do with all those blueberries.
Any recommended recipes???
I think this may have been the potty at some time.
Then, we were off to Hockinson Country Cafe for a little treat. I had the strawberry rhubarb pie... heavenly!
Happy Sunday to you my friend.
they freeze very well. My favorites: Blueberry pie and peach and blueberry crisp.
Love me some blueberries.

Sorry I am clueless about blueberries. I probably would freeze them and use them for smoothies :)
What I do know about is strawberry rhubarb pie! YUM!

Add Lemon Zest to your blueberry muffins!
A recipe I have out of the Better Homes and Gardens Fruit Recipes that calls for 1 tsp of finely shredded lemon peel.
I like to add a lot more.
I like to add some to ice cream too.
How about putting some in a fruit salad
or some in a green salad.
Blueberries are good for the eyes and the brain.
God Bless You and Yours!!!
