This is a blog I LOVE. Lisa Wharton of Urban Bird is full of creative inspiration. There are so many yummy things on her blog like pictures of her studio, cool screen prints, shrinky dink charms, etc.
Here's a baby shower invite she did. Makes me almost want to have a baby party! Her variety and talent goes on forever!
Instead of a party... I will be leaving soon to take my now high schooler to Washington D.C, Philadelphia and New York for a fun celebration getaway. I'm looking forward to some good bonding time, MOMA in NY and seeing D.C for the first time.
If you have any treasures you've found in any of these cities please let me know!!!
Great artist and blog! Thanks for the link!
I haven't been to this hotel. It is in NY.
Every room is painted by a different artist.
Carlton Arms
Have a Fun Awesome Time together!
God Bless You and Yours!!!

The American Art Museum(same building as the National Portrait Gallery)is a really fun place. It's part of the Smithsonian but not on the mall itself. What sorts of places are you interested in? Lots here to see and do!

Like chocolate? My friend Kirsten recommends these:
La Maison du Chocolat
30 Rockefeller Centre
49th Street
NY 10020 New-York
-or-
Have hot chocolate (I know it's summer, but it's worth it!) at:
Jacques Torres Chocolate
350 Hudson at King Street (1 block South of Houston)
New York, NY 10014
Loved D.C.~! Mount Vernon and Montecello were my faves though (outside the district)
