oooh! oooh! oooh! I want it! I want it! =)

OOOOHHHOOOHHHH! i love give-aways!!!! now i'm going to feel pressure to say something coherent! (again, wishing i had spell check)... i know that when i first moved across the country to live amongst the nw people, i longed for someone to relate to. i can imagine that long trips to COMPLETELY different cultures, alone, would SO make me feel that way! it is so awesome hearing first hand about your adventures, since i doubt most of us will ever travel to China!

-Annette (that is A N N E T T E) just incase you need to post my name tomorrow on a very special announcement! (just kidding) : )

Michelle ~ how very special! I was away from family in Italy (long ago now but I still remember the feeling) and really did feel so far away from home. I couldn't understand anyone but the tour guide, and I remember being SO SICK while there. I don't have a recollection of the food...I don't think it looked like what you're experiencing though! I was so thankful for home when I returned. I can identify with how you feel!

Michelle- Give aways are great but remember we love you no matter if you give us anything or not. I am happy to be able to see what's going on with you and let you know I care. It's so hard to keep connected when we are home doing all the busy stuff. This blog works great for that. No worries about the time of day or anything. Take care my friend and have fun shopping- M

(I think I told you about this before)
About 17 years ago I went to Brazil for two months on a mission just 3 months before I married Dan. It was something that I had committed to before I knew we were to marry. It was very hard being away and using translators all the time. There was no such thing as e-mail and we could only use the phone a few times during those two months. Not knowing any one around you and literally being worlds away from home made me so much closer to God and stronger in my faith. I hope it does the same for you! Sleeping on the floor for 2 months in various churches is some what reminicsent of the beds we slept on in China. I am so glad I got to go with you that one time and keep you company. It was fun experiencing everything together and being able to laugh about stuff and be there for each other when things got a little scary. I wish I was there with you right now!

That is so weird that my comment posted twice. I was having trouble with my server and didn't even think it posted at all. I guess you were really supposed to get that comment.
