This top painting is called "Cat Souppe", I did this several years ago. I've never really liked it as a clock, too busy, but I still think it's quite fun as a simple piece of art. The other was turned into a clock "Cat & Kittens"...
You would probably think I'm a cat lover with all the cat clocks and other items we make. I will tell you that a few years ago, my mom and dad gave me a cat for my birthday. I named him Monet, he was beautiful. I had him about 2 weeks and I had to give him away to my friend Jenny. I just couldn't get into the whole kitty litter and hair thing. I think I just like the "idea" of a cat and I like other peoples cats.
I found this artist's site with some colorful, whimsical pet paintings.
Also, check this out, actually painting ON your cat. Crazy you think?
Maybe tomorrow I'll find the time to finish my Perdy Berdy painting. (dream?)
What is wrong with people -- painting cats? Ugh.
I love yours however -- what goes on in that brain of yours? How do you get these cool ideas and more importantly, create cool things with your cool ideas?

I just can't imagine a cat sitting still long enough to be painted... I know Abby wouldn't... and yes the kitty we gave you was beautiful... but we do understand why you gave her away so it's okay!

Hi Michelle! I absolutely love your painting with the cats. I love cats and am very drawn to your style of painting and design. I have decided to pick up the paint brushes again after a long absence and I only hope that I can tap into some of the families talent. Hope we can get together again sometime before your daughters completely grow up.
Your cousin from Hannibal,
Mary Beth
