Boise, Idaho

We took a three day trip to Boise, Idaho a couple weekends ago. We ate sushi and LOTS of TCBY!! (Frozen yogurt just in case you didn't know)

On Saturday we got to watch dad's bike race, the women's pro bike race, and the men's pro race. Here is dad getting ready to start his race. He's in the red, white, and blue jersey and helmet.

The best part was on Sunday when we got to go to the awesome Roaring Springs water park!! We rode almost every slide and ride and it was so much fun! I didn't get to take any pictures so you will have to check out their website.

More trees

Sorry I haven't been posting my tree of the week lately, so here are a couple of my favorite one's from California.

Summer Jam Carnival

Last week (the 7th-11th) I helped out at my church with Summer Jam, which is a vacation Bible school for pre-schoolers to 5th graders. We played games, had snack and small group, and made a craft each day. Then on Wednesday, after Summer Jam had ended, I painted lilly pads for the end of Summer Jam carnivals. On Thursday I took home a tri-fold board that I had to paint as a back drop for the lilly pad game, so I invited my Grandma over and we painted away!!

Our finished product with some little kids playing on it! I think it looks great thanks to my Grandma!!

There were other fun games too like the ring toss (above), spin art (below), chip toss, and even a dunking tank thing.

Grit 08

Grit was the 29th of June through the 3rd of July and I got to go!! It was a blast!! I went on the trail bikes and the high ropes, which were both pretty fun!! It was an awesome experience and I learned about God. God is good, He is always with us, He is personal, and He is creative. I never used to think about God being all those things, especially the creative one, but I came to realize, at Grit, that He is. I mean He created the world for goodness sakes and He created ever tree and animal and person. He knows all the things that are going to happen to each and every one of us. If you let Him, He can be personal. No, He doesn't actually talk to you out-loud, but He can speak to you through different things like the Bible. God is always with us no matter where we are, and I love that because I know my parents won't always be able to be there for me no matter how much they want to, so I will always have God to be there. By the end of camp 12 people came to except Christ and 23 students got baptized. It was absolutely amazing!!

Another cool thing about this year's Grit is that Katy (an awesome friend who works for my mom as a graphic designer) got to come and hang out as a small group leader!! I loved having her there! And all in all, it was a great trip!
