my valentine's day was pretty ideal.
simple. the hubs made dinner and then we went to see safe house at the $5 tuesday night theatre!
one thing that was a bit different about this valentine's day though...
both our girls getting gifted with valentines from boys.
lex (almost 17) has a boyfriend so that's completely understandable and sweet.
jess (only 11) had two diff. boys giving her gifts! one of them gave her a teddy bear, a huge card, chocolates AND a rose. the other gave her a 14k gold necklace with possibly a real diamond! yikes!!!
seriously?
is this normal?
(and for the record- we're making her return the necklace)
and our heart winner is...
congratulations Julie! (& praying for your momma :(...)
thank you for playing. :)

But Marilyn Monroe said Diamonds are a girl´s best friend...!? No?
;-)
(For the record I don´t have a single diamond, and have particularly asked not to get any either)

Awww, so sweet for her and so scary for you! That baby stuff was a whiz compared to this pre-teeney stuff. oy! I have still yet to see the teen years so I have no idea what's to come!
Sounds like a lovely V-day
:)

Sounds like my kinds of Valentines day!! Eeks... about that necklace. My mommy intuition asks,"where and how did he get the necklace?" I agree returning it is the smart choice. I'm a very liberal mom but believe in age appropriate gifts!
Thanks for sharing!!
