it hasn't been all cookies around here... (just mostly) i've also made this salad a few times. the grape tomatoes seem to be good right now- and at costco. along with english cucumbers, which i love that peeling isn't necessary since their skin is so thin. adding that bit more pretty green to the salad.
some spices, feta, red wine vinegar, olive oil- and pretty much whatever else sounds good to you.
for some reason, no idea why (hmmmm?), i'm feeling horribly fat these days! maybe, it's all the garbage food we've been making around here and my super-sugar addiction. i think i'm, just maybe, done over-indulging. too many evening of my belly feeling sick! oy!
getting a bit of holiday cheer going on. it's feeling good.
inspired by this lovely lady to make the decorating itself a bit more of a special event. really tho- i thought cocoa and cookies might just get my kids (16 & 11) to stick around and want to decorate with me... without it being a fight or me guilting them into it.
and it actually worked! so simple. i guess i never read the "decorating with kids" manual.
these were the cookies we made. inspired by no other than pinterest and ultimately sprinkle bakes. ours didn't turn out near as cute as hers. a lot more red food coloring next time!
unfortunately, it's also very much the month of... stress, over commitment, winter gift show preparation, trying to balance the 'have-to's' and the 'want-to's' and just plain hectic-ness! and this year... let's throw in trying to get settled into a new house! i forgot how much work it was to get the little things done: paper towel holder, blinds, stools for the kitchen... dumb things, but a whole lot of time involved!
don't forget... this is our last weekend for our studio sale! would love to see you there. :)
