the first morning in MN for The Creative Connection, a few of us jetted just outside of Minneapolis to the Junk Bonanza. my friend Leigh of Curly Girl, who was also the one who recommended TCC, said Junk Bonanza was a must. lovely Leigh, camera in hand.
surprisingly, the prices were fair.
i only had my 50mm fixes lens so my shots were limited to pretty close up. some of these displays were so cool, i wish i could have captured them better for you.
if only my last name began with R!!! LOVE this!
my scores. i plan on using these old locker baskets in my mudroom. and isn't this letter A the coolest!!! and only $18. a steal.
we all agreed that paying $25 for the early bird pass was worth it. not having to fight the crowds and getting first dibs was a nice way to go.
before i go on and on about TCC (the creative connection)... i must show you this darling, DARLING gift i received in the mail! is this little hand sculpted owl not the cutest?! thank you my sweet friend Tammy McGee/The Gypsy Chronicles! you are an inspiration of kindness and perseverance to all of us. even her envelope invited squeals of delight!
i love you sweet friend. i'm so glad our paths have crossed.
i'm on my way to st. paul for The Creative Connection event. excited to be hooking up with friends April, Leigh and Kelly Rae. not sure what to expect from this adventure. but, i'm sure it's going to be ridiculously awesome!!! thank you susan :) i'll report back soon. xo-m
see Leigh's post about her experience at last year's event here.
i totally can not believe it's been almost a MONTH since i blogged last! i'm sorry. i didn't even say goodbye. maybe that's because i had no intention of leaving you for that long. it just happened. :(
we're still trying to get squared away in the new location. it's been a lot more work than i had anticipated. along with A LOT more money. ugh.
my youngest (11) started at a new school. this was what she looked like on the first day. all glammed up. since then it's been tennies, shorts and a t-shirt.
this piece is from a few months back. i haven't had any time for art and it's killing me! i am looking forward to getting back into and finding my muse again!
i've missed you. thank you to all of you who have emailed or commented asking where i've been. it's nice to know that i was missed. :)
hi and welcome!!! i'm so glad you're here! my name is michelle. i'm blessed to be a wife (to gary) of 18 years and a mom of two girls; alexis(16) & jess(11). i've been a full time artist for 15 years. i made my start at Portland Sat. Mkt. and art fairs around the country, and then headed into wholesale shows when our oldest began school. i love ART-ing, art journaling, running, cycling and downing junk food!
