one of our new money banks we introduced at the gift show in NY. (available end of Sept.) i just love him!
okay, i'm finally back to the blogging world. i've been wallowing in self pity long enough.
about what? oh, about not being able to run-mainly. i've been having some trouble in my hamstring/knee for the past month. this weekend i was supposed to be running Hood to Coast but had to bail. i'm beside myself bummed!
but, on the "thankful" side of things... i can still ride my bicycle!
since i haven't been able to run... i've had more time for eating! haha! every time i go to NY, a burger from 5NapkinBurger off 9th is a must. yum!!!
while looking for 5Napkin's site i found the recipe for their burger on MarthaStewart.com!!! this might have to be on our menu for tomorrow!
if you're interested in attending Artfest this coming spring, registration is open! you'll probably want to register quick as a lot of things fill up right away. here are direct links to my classes.
yes, i'm finally announcing the winners!!! after returning from the NY Gift Show on Thursday it's just been non-stop. kids, catch up, parents moving, husband love, cleaning, returning emails (still working on this one, so if it's you, i'll get there!)... you get the picture. do i look tired? i don't know why i keep choosing to snap pics of myself first thing in the morning! slow learner!!
thank you all so much for entering in our giveaway. you've, once again, made it fun with all your sweetness.
so without further ado- (winners picked by random number generator)

after seeing these guys from Bottle Freaker, their killer product and their awesomely creative booth, i just had to add some to the website. the one above is the one i'm keeping for myself cause it's "close2myart"! :)
WOW! i love that you all are so quick to share your thoughts on the "decapitation" of our Soap Spitters! what a diverse bunch you are!
i'm the type that loves and appreciates advertising and packaging that has a twist. and, i guess, a bit of "dark humor". my husband on the other hand, is uber conservative on this kind of stuff, feels differently.
i was hoping that by asking for your opinion i would get an incontestable "go for it". but, i obviously didn't.
so now i will sulk and eat cupcakes.
p.s. we did compromise a bit. it will now say: "pop off head, twist neck, fill body". better?
not quite sure what creature this is. a little mix of some of my favorite animals maybe. i was going for things that made me think "urban cabin".
i don't feel like it's finished yet... i left it up at the cabin, to be continued later.
all i really want to do right now is paint!!! unfortunately, i have so many other "not so fun" things to take care of. copyrighting new designs, hiring a new employee to replace our beloved Rachel who is going back to school, paying bills... just to name a few. i know, it's all part of the package. i'm thankful to have new designs, money to actually pay the bills and some wonderful candidates for Rachel's position.
hi and welcome!!! i'm so glad you're here! my name is michelle. i'm blessed to be a wife (to gary) of 18 years and a mom of two girls; alexis(16) & jess(11). i've been a full time artist for 15 years. i made my start at Portland Sat. Mkt. and art fairs around the country, and then headed into wholesale shows when our oldest began school. i love ART-ing, art journaling, running, cycling and downing junk food!
