I'm actually in the comfortable United States of America posting right now! Glad to be home. Praising God for the amazing country and freedoms we have here in the USA.

Making up for some lost time. Here are a few pictures of one of our clocks already in production. I've always loved multiples of things.

Loving the bamboo scaffolding. They even use this method for their large skyscrapers in HK!

Not as apparent in photos as it is in person but there is TRASH all over the place! Ick! They just throw their trash everywhere. Different Culture!

Not sure what kind of fruit this is but it looks dangerous! Anyone know?

This is a container of our product being loaded to go to one of our distributors in France.

All in all this was a good productive trip. I finished with about 12 new designs. Some I'm confident in and a few that I wonder if we'll be able to sell. Now that I'm saying this I realize that the birds that the factory is painting on the top pic of this post is a clock that I almost cancelled out of the 2008 Winter Line. It went on to the gift shows and was one of our best sellers! Go figure. I can never trust my instincts!

Thank you again for coming on my China journey with me and keeping me company along the way. It means the world!

Clocks are cute!

Glad you are home, Michelle, and I hope you received some extra special welcome home hugs and kisses from your family for Mother's Day! Thank you for taking us on your China journey; I always love to see your pictures.

Glad you are home safe and sound. Michelle, you amaze me though! Thank you for bringing us on the journey - I can't wrap my head around everything you do! What an inspiration!

XO, Carrie

P.S. Are you doing CGS in July? I finally bit the bullet - I'll be in booth 1919!! I'm scared to death!

I think the prickly fruit might be a dragonfruit.

Your work is refreshingly unique...love it! I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy seeing the pictures from your trips to China and hearing about your experiences there. I work with several overseas manufacturers, but have not had the opportunity to visit in person. Thanks for sharing!

It's funny how the work we create, and believe will not sell ends up not only selling, but becoming a BEST seller. It happens to me EVERY time. so funny. lol

its so good to have you back! i will appreciate the cleanliness of our street system here! how cool to see your clocks off to France! : )

welcome back! we just finished reading an entire issue of national geographic dedicated to china - it was incredible. i will try to pass it along to you if i remember!

Glad you made it home safely!!

I think that prickly thing is a Prickly pear......makes yummy Margaritas!!

Glad to see you home. How close were you at to were the earthquake was? Crazy. . .

Glad to hear you arrive home safely and everything went great!! :)

Thanks for sharing your trip with us...it all sounds so interesting and adventurous...Prickly fruit and all!

It's been awhile since i've read your blog...I love the pics of your journal. I wish I was crafty with paints and colors...I love your journal! :) Didn't even know you went to China! BTW, I saw you this morning, but didn't get to say hi, but I thought "where did she GO? "You are so tiny!! Way to go on your training!

I have been running for a few months now...I'm only up to about 2 miles at a time, my goal is 3. I recently injured my foot, so have been off for about 3 weeks...next week, I'm back to the grind!

Cool pictures! I'm glad you made it back safely.

Those spiky fruit in your pictures look to me like durian. You can actually get durian milkshakes at many of the Vietnamese restaurants in San Diego. It tastes something like avocado, with a hint of onion. They're actually very stinky, but they taste pretty good.

the picky fruits seems like "durian".
it is the "most delicious fruit in the
whole world." thats what i heard. and yes,
it smells like *poop*. no, really.

anyway, it maybe a "langka". cause really
they almost look the same.
